what is the future

I know people who plan every step of their lives out- meticulously scratching dates and assignments and meetings in the their planners, taking each day on as if it were a to-do list.

I am not one of those people.

I take life on one day at a time. I am very bad at planning. I miss deadlines regularly. So when you ask me, "What are your plans?", I am being honest when I say I don't have any. But here's my best guess, my fingers-crossed maybe-this-will-happen hope. I want to go to grad school and get an M.F.A. so I can teach video courses part-time. I want to edit part-time. I want to move to a big, creative city (probably Austin or Nashville). I want to find a lady and start a family. I want to start a rock and roll band.

But mostly, I just want to edit. I'm interested in other things (here I am in Advanced Videography), but editing is where I feel like I "fit." It's what I'm best at. I'm more interested in short-form stuff (especially music videos) than feature length films, but I'm willing to take what I'm given. I don't really have plans, per se- I just have things I want to accomplish. I'm willing to take it as it comes. We'll see.
